Second-half comeback seals victory for Rams

DEWSBURY RAMS sit fifth in the Championship after yesterday’s edgy success at North Wales Crusaders, who ended their temporary spell at The Rock on a low note.

Fourth-bottom Crusaders, who will return to the Racecourse following completion of stadium development work, led 14-10 at half-time thanks to tries from Lee Hudson and Toby Adamson, plus three goals from Tommy Johnson.

But Dewsbury drew level through Karl Pryce early in the second half before Louis Sheriff, Sam Wood and Makali Aizue also scored tries to condemn their hosts to a fifth straight defeat.

Tom Hemingway kicked three goals for Dewsbury with Tommy Johnson doing likewise for the hosts.

Dewsbury return to action at home to Barrow Raiders on Sunday. with Crusaders entertaining Workington the same afternoon.

Workington Town boosted their survival hopes with a fifth straight triumph, with on-loan Widnes winger Declan Hulme scoring two tries in a comfortable 30-18 triumph over Rochdale.

Town’s other tries came from Brett Carter, Jason Mossop and Carl Forber, who also kicked give goals.

Dave Llewellyn, James Dandy and Lewis Sheridan scored tries for Hornets, who had St Helens’ new signing Shannon McDonnell playing for them on a dual-registration.
