Super League - Six talking points from Round Nine

Yorkshire clubs continue to struggle, with Hull - in fifth - being the county’s best-placed team and the bottom-four dominated by White Rose sides.

Here are six talking points from the weekend’s action.

1: Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are thriving under new coach Chris Chester. They won all three over Easter and played some exciting rugby, but Wigan at home next is a huge test.

2: Hull seem to have overcome their dip and regained the sort of form they are capable of. Three wins over Easter have got them back on course for the semi-finals.

3: Shaun Lunt makes a big difference to Hull KR. He was outstanding - scoring two tries and creating another - on his return from injury in Rovers’ win at Leeds.

4: Castleford Tigers are showing remarkable resilience in the face of a huge injury crisis. Grant Millington joined the casualty list, but they still managed to battle back and snatch a win over Huddersfield.

5: Bottom club Huddersfield Giants look like a team who have forgotten how to a win. They showed good signs in building an eight-point lead in the second half at Castleford, but could not hang on.

6: Leeds Rhinos are at probably the lowest point in their Super League history. Home losses to Wakefield and Hull KR five days apart were embarrassing for the second-bottom champions.
