Swinton Lions 44 East Hull 4: Minnows put up fine effort against Lions

EAST Hull coach Lee Radford paid a glowing tribute to his players despite crashing out at the third round stage with a hammering at the hands of Swinton Lions.

The visitors were convincingly beaten by 40 points at The Willows, but Radford was pleased with the way his National Conference League Premier Division side battled against their higher placed hosts.

“I’m very proud of my players because it was a step up in quality for them,” said Radford.
