Take a walk to learn about ELS

MORE than 70 per cent of Yorkshire's farmland is now covered by some form of environmental scheme, it has been announced.

The Campaign for the Farmed Environment project is now encouraging the remainder to become involved in projects which reward farmers for managing the environment alongside operating commercial farm businesses.

The CFE is organising a series of farm walks with Natural England and the RSPB in South Yorkshire to consider how farmers could be rewarded for managing the environment through Entry Level Stewardship (ELS).
