Tansey leaves Rams to link up with Crusaders

FORMER Hull FC full-back Jordan Tansey has earned a swift return to Super League.

Crusaders have given the ex-Leeds Rhinos player a chance to resurrect his career after signing him from Dewsbury Rams where he had been playing on a weekly contract.

Tansey, 24, was sacked by the Airlie Birds on the eve of the season after a third breach of discipline in 12 months but has now signed for the bottom-of-the-table Welsh club until the end of 2012.

Tansey, who was a member of the Leeds squad that won back-to-back Grand Finals in 2007 and 2008, could make his debut at Castleford on Sunday.

St Helens and England hooker Scott Moore will appear before the RFL’s disciplinary committee tonight after being charged with a dangerous tackle on Leeds captain Kevin Sinfield.

The ex-Huddersfield star is alleged to have used a technique that places undue pressure on the knee and ankle joint of his opponent, causing unacceptable risk of injury.

It is a grade B offence that carries a suspension of one or two matches so if found guilty he will miss Friday’s game with Bradford Bulls.
