Terry Newton's funeral rearranged for Friday
THE funeral of former Great Britain international Terry Newton will now take place at Wigan Parish Church, in Wigan town centre, on Friday.
The service had originally been planned to take place at St John's Church in Pemberton but building work there has forced the move.
The coffin of the former Leeds, Wigan, Bradford and Wakefield hooker will be driven past Wigan's DW Stadium at about 1.30pm on its way to the church for a 2pm service.
The burial, which will still take place at St John's, and the wake will be for family members and friends.
