CASTLEFORD Tigers star Marc Sneyd will watch tonight’s game between leaders St Helens and Warrington but insisted: “All we can do is nail second spot.”

If Saints fail to pick up a point from either this evening or next Friday’s last game at Huddersfield Giants and Castleford win their final two games, the West Yorkshire club, remarkably, will lift the League Leaders’ Shield.

Stand-off Sneyd, who has been a revelation this year following his loan move from Salford Red Devils, said: “Both sides have got things to play for on Thursday night and it should be a good game anyway without thinking too much about us.

“But pretty much all we can do is look at playing our best in our next two fixtures - Wakefield here on Sunday and then over in Catalan - and hope to nail second spot.”

Regardless of other results, Daryl Powell’s side will finish runners-up - their best ever Super League finish - if they do finish off with two wins and boost chances of reaching a maiden Grand Final.
