Warrington choose Leeds as ClubCall opponents

Warrington this evening chose to play Leeds for a place in the Super League Grand Final.

The Wolves had the right to select their opponents for their qualifying semi-final at the Halliwell Jones Stadium next Friday after finishing top of the table and winning their opening play-off tie.

Leeds, who finished fifth, clinched their place in the last four with a 34-28 win over Huddersfield in Friday’s first preliminary semi-final.

St Helens and defending champions Wigan, who were 44-0 winners over Catalan Dragons at the DW Stadium this evening, will meet in the second qualifying semi-final at the Stobart Stadium on Saturday.

It will be their sixth derby meeting, with Saints having won for the first time since last October’s Grand Final defeat at the fifth attempt in the opening round of the play-offs a week ago.
