Webster suspended for two matches

RUGBY LEAGUE: Hull KR centre Jake Webster has been handed a two-match ban after being found guilty of foul play during his side’s 24-22 Engage Super League defeat at Warrington on Sunday.

He was cited by the RFL’s match review panel for making dangerous contact with Warrington winger Chris Riley, was found guilty and fined £300 when he appeared in front of the League’s disciplinary committee.

Leeds have ruled out Australian Brett Delaney for up to six weeks with the ankle injury he sustained in last Friday’s win at Hull.

The Rhinos will also be without second-rower Carl Ablett for up to three weeks with a knee injury but hope full-back Brent Webb will play against Harlequins at Headingley on Friday after making a good recovery from the leg injury he picked up at Hull.

Wakefield hooker Julien Rinaldi has been cleared to play in Sunday’s game against Salford after he was fined £500 for dangerous contact with Catalan prop David Ferriol.
