Win tickets to see Leeds Rhinos’ attempt to win at Wembley

THE Yorkshire Post has teamed up with the RFL to offer readers the chance to win five pairs of tickets for the Carnegie Challenge Cup final at Wembley.

You could be there next weekend to see if Leeds Rhinos can at last end their hoodoo in the sport’s most famous knockout competition or witness Warrington Wolves lift the cup for a third time in only four years.

It is sure to be a fascinating contest as Leeds – the reigning Super League and World Club Challenge champions – take on revered opponents who are rated one of the most exciting teams of the recent era.

The scene of so many legendary battles and magical moments before, Wembley is synonymous with the Challenge Cup.

Not only has it been graced by some of the British greats like Alex Murphy, Neil Fox, Ellery Hanley and Billy Boston but overseas stars too, most famously Kangaroos stars Brett Kenny and Peter Sterling in the epic 1985 final between Wigan and Hull.

The lucky winners will get the chance to savour the atmosphere and watch all the intense action unfold next Saturday when Leeds captain Kevin Sinfield and his colleagues such as Jamie Peacock, Rob Burrow and Ryan Hall try to etch themselves into Challenge Cup folklore.

The West Yorkshire club have lost each of the five finals they have appeared in since last winning it in 1999 including the previous two years against Warrington and Wigan respectively.

They have also been hit by the loss of their finest player this season – Danny McGuire – through an ill-timed injury but, as Super League champions four times in the last five years, confidence remains high at Headingley that they can push on and add the one trophy that has persistently eluded them.

High-flying Warrington, meanwhile, are littered with some of the game’s most familiar names such as Lee Briers, Adrian Morley and Brett Hodgson.

To stand a chance of winning the tickets to see them all in action, all you have to do is answer the following question correctly:

Who won last year’s Lance Todd Trophy?

a) Sam Tomkins

b) Jeff Lima

c) Kevin Sinfield
