THE YORKSHIRE POST has teamed up with the RFL to offer readers the chance to win tickets for the inaugural Summer Bash.
The Championship’s version of Magic Weekend will take place in Blackpool over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend with all eight of the region’s clubs in action at Bloomfield Road.
Next Saturday, after the maiden iPro Sport League 1 Cup final between Swinton Lions and North Wales Crusaders and the Championship Cumbruian derby between Workington Town and Whitehaven (2.30), Yorkshire’s clubs enter the fray.
Mark Aston’s Sheffield Eagles tackle relegated Super League club London Broncos (4.45) before the opening day is rounded off with an eagerly-anticipated West Yorkshire derby – promotion-chasing Bradford Bulls versus Halifax (7.00).
Then, the Heavy Woollen derby of Dewsbury Rams and Batley Bulldogs (12.45) kicks-off Sunday’s fare ahead of Doncaster’s clash with Hunslet Hawks (3.00).
Completing the round of fixtures is the re-match of last season’s Grand Final as champions Leigh Centurions – the leaders currently on a 24-match winning run – face fourth-placed Featherstone Rovers (5.15).
