rugby union: Tommy McGee says his Wharfedale side is developing nicely as they head to Coventry this afternoon.
The Midlanders, once one of the top clubs in the country, have a proud home record in National One this season, their only blemishes being a defeat against Ealing and a draw with Richmond.
Butts Park was one of only two venues where Wharfedale won on the road last season.
McGee, whose side sit a place above Coventry in mid-table, said: “They have an impressive squad, with internationals and players with Premiership and Championship experience.
“But I am happy with the way our side is developing, all keen to perform for each other; those who came off the bench last week played very well and it is good to be able to reward their patience with a place in the starting line-up.”
Two Yorkshire derbies headline the National Two North action.
Hull Ionians, who lost their unbeaten record at Caldy last week, host Otley, while winless Huddersfield welcome Hull, hoping to suck the East Riding side back into trouble.
