Doncaster Knights strengthened their hold on third place in the Greene King IPA Championship with a convincing 29-7 victory at Nottingham last night.
Clive Griffiths side have an 11-point advantage over Cornish Pirates in fifth place after a five-point haul.
Paul Jarvis crossed after a lineout move to give Doncaster the lead before Dougie Flockhart doubled the advantage and converted his own try. Simon Humberstone burst through traffic to score Doncaster’s third try but Ben Hooper gave Nottingham hope with a try before half-time.
However, Michael Hills scored two tries in the second half to extinguish those hopes.
