"We have to cut our cloth wisely and the players here will dictate what we do," said Robins.

"They have been excellent in the last three months, they are still improving, and there is plenty more to come from them."

Defenders Ryan Shotton and Carl Dickinson are back with the Tykes until the end of the season from Stoke City along with winger Martin Devaney who has completed a loan spell at

MK Dons.

Striker Kayode Odejayi, meanwhile, has signed a permanent deal with Colchester United after impressing on loan.

Robins is looking to start an FA Cup run today but is not under-estimating Championship rivals Scunthorpe United who held the Tykes to a draw in the league just three weeks ago.

"The FA Cup is a special competition. I was lucky enough to win it as a player and we want a good run in it again this year," he said.

"But it will be a different challenge to the side we faced a couple of weeks ago.

"They like to play the game at a high tempo and they have some good footballers.

"They are a difficult side to beat at their own place and have taken some notable scalps."
