Seventh place is best Killeen can get

Great Britain's Liam Killeen had to settle for seventh place in the men's elite cross-country race at the Mountain Biking & Trials World Championship in Canada on Saturday.

The 28-year-old rider from Malvern in Worcestershire managed a time of one hour, 55 minutes and 17 seconds. The race winner was Jose Antonio Hermida Ramos of Spain, who clocked a time of 1:52.26 in Mont-Sainte-Anne in Quebec.

Britain's other rider in the elite field, 34-year-old Oliver Beckingsale, was 26th in a time of 2:02.05.
