Sheffield dozen named in GB squad for Delhi
TWELVE members of the Sheffield-based GB Boxing squad have been selected to compete in October's Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
Ten of the squad will represent England and two will compete for Wales. The selection includes all three of GB Boxing's silver medallists from the recent European Amateur Championship in Moscow, Khalid Yafai, Iain Weaver and Tom Stalker.
Other boxers, who train out of the city's English Institute of Sport, include Tommy Stubbs, Andrew Selby, Bradley Saunders, Fred Evans, Callum Smith, Antony Ogogo, Obed Mbwakongo, Amin Isa and Middlesbrough's Simon Vallily.
GB Boxing's Rob McCracken said: "This is an important part of our preparations for 2012."
