1: Hull KR aren’t a lost cause after all.

Maurice Blair was outstanding in the 44-30 win over previously in-form Salford, which will boost Rovers’ confidence ahead of Friday’s derby.

2: Hull proved they can grind a game out by beating Wakefield 22-4, but they need to cut down the handling errors to compete against the top teams.

3: Huddersfield Giants have big problems.

They seemed to throw in the towel after Joe Wardle’s dismissal against Catalans and the manner in which they conceded 34 second half points was embarrassing.

4: New Wakefield Trinity Wildcats boss Chris Chester has a big job on his hands.

He knew that already, but the point was hammered home by a toothless attacking performance in the defeat at Hull.

5: Leeds Rhinos can attack.

The 30 points they scored against St Helens was their best total since the 50-0 Challenge Cup final conquering of Hull KR last August.

6: Injuries are having a huge bearing on Castleford Tigers’ season.

Since winning at Hull late last month they have lost several key players and slumped to three straight defeats.
