SkyBet: Backing Millers striker Le Fondre to hit target looks best value

Hull City have the opportunity to move out of the Premier League relegation zone when they host Wolves today, but they will need to end a dismal run of form to do so.

The Tigers have not won in nine games, although seven of those have been away from home and they are a different proposition on their own pitch.

Phil Brown's side have won 15 of their 19 points at home and they will have new signing Amr Zaki – the talented but temperamental Egyptian – available to make his debut.

Wolves, though, have picked up eight points on their travels and only Wigan have a better record in the bottom half of the table.

It all adds up to a very even contest, which makes the 6-5 quote for a home win look a little skinny. The draw at 12-5 looks a better bet.

Doncaster face a tough task away to an unpredictable Cardiff side, who, at times, are an irresistible attacking force, as they proved in their 6-0 win at Bristol City on Tuesday.

That makes it three wins in a row for the Welsh team, but they failed to win any of their previous five games, so Doncaster are not without a chance here.

Also in with a chance are Barnsley, whose opponents, Reading, have won just one of their last 20 home league games.

The Royals have looked a different team in the FA Cup, but they still cannot translate the form which helped them knock out Liverpool and Burnley to the league and they were beaten 3-0 at Sheffield United in the week.

The Blades go to West Brom where they will be looking for a fourth straight league win.

Richard Cresswell is the man in form for United, scoring on his last four starts and he can be backed at 3-1 to hit the target.

Alan Irvine's task at Sheffield Wednesday was underlined by the 2-0 defeat at Scunthorpe, which ended his three-match winning run. The Owls should have enough to overcome fellow strugglers Plymouth at Hillsborough, though.

Leeds have lost their focus in the league and have lost top spot to Norwich and they have a difficult home game against Colchester, particularly as they have an FA Cup replay with Tottenham on their minds.

Their run of three league games without a win makes them impossible to back at 8-13 against a team who do not lose often on their travels.

Huddersfield have slipped out of the play-off places and they need to improve their away form if they are to get back in the mix. Today's opponents, Yeovil, have been strong at home, scoring plenty of goals and losing only twice, so backing Town at 11-8 holds no appeal.

Rotherham are back in the automatic promotion but draw specialists Macclesfield can be stubborn opponents.

Given that the Millers lost at home to bottom club Darlington recently, I would prefer to put my money on Adam Le Fondre to score at 10-11 than Rotherham to win at 8-15.

Backing Bradford to win at Torquay would be unwise as City have beaten only the league's bottom two clubs in the last three months.
