SkyBet: Forest are looking sound bet to extend unbeaten home run

Leeds United are an obvious attraction for the live television cameras, but once again the limitations of Simon Grayson's squad may be exposed before the nation tomorrow when they tackle Nottingham Forest.

Grayson does not have a budget to compare to the one enjoyed by Billy Davies, who has shaped a formidable team, particularly when they play at the City Ground.

Forest are unbeaten on their own patch for almost a year and have won 14 of their last 15 home league games – conceding just two goals in the last 12.

The summer break may have interrupted Forest's momentum, but a home win remains the likely outcome.

Hull City kicked off their return to the Championship with an impressive win, but will find things tougher on the road at Millwall, another team with an outstanding home record.

The Lions, who have won their two opening games, have won 13 of their last 15 at home in the league and look great value at 6-4.

Barnsley have made an awful start to their campaign and things could get worse when George Burley's Crystal Palace visit Oakwell.

Palace have started with back-to-back wins and can be backed at 7-4 for a third – but the better selection is Darren Ambrose to score in 90 minutes at 3-1.

Ambrose was the Eagles' top scorer last season with 20 goals and has already opened his account this term.

Doncaster paid the price for naming a weakened team against Accrington in the Carling Cup, but they will be back to full strength against Bristol City and can gain a second successive league win.

Bristol will be without star man Nicky Maynard through injury and this could be the ideal time to face the Robins.

Finally in the Championship, Neil Warnock returns to Bramall Lane with QPR.

Rangers thrashed Barnsley 4-0 last weekend, but will find Sheffield United to be a sterner test and may have to settle for a point.

Sheffield Wednesday have made a steady start to the new season and will be encouraged by keeping two clean sheets.

John Ward's Colchester will threaten goals – they only failed to score at home twice last term – but this should be a tight game in League One.

The trend for the Owls under Alan Irvine is for low-scoring games and 'Under 2.5 Goals' looks to be the bet here.

At the Galpharm Huddersfield should prove too strong for Tranmere, with Jordan Rhodes a good bet to continue his fine start.

Big things are expected of Bradford this season and if they are to live up to expectations they need to beat the likes of Stevenage at home.

They will have plenty of followers this weekend at even money but for me Peter Taylor's side still have a lot to prove.

Morecambe were 2-0 winners over Championship club Coventry at their new stadium in midweek and are a good price at 6-4 to follow that up with a win over Rotherham. Morecambe reached the play-offs last season and are on a run of seven successive home wins.

Weekend's best bets

n Barnsley v Crystal Palace – Darren Ambrose to score.

n Doncaster Rovers to beat Bristol City.

n Millwall to beat Hull City.

n Sheffield United v QPR – Draw.

n Colchester v Sheffield Wednesday – Under 2.5 Goals.

n Huddersfield Town v Tranmere Rovers – Jordan Rhodes to score.

n Morecambe to beat Rotherham United.
