SkyBet: Leeds can travel to Turf Moor confident of a positive outcome

Leeds United travel across the Pennines to play Burnley in what should be a very close game between two evenly matched sides.

Seven wins from 10 home games give Burnley the second best home record in the league and they go into to the match odds-on to gain all three points.

Leeds, however, are the form side and the win over Crystal Palace last week extended their unbeaten run to seven games.

In that run the Whites have picked up eight points on the road and will be happy to take away one from today's game.

The draw can be backed at 12-5 and 1-1 is 6-1.

A Yorkshire derby sees Sheffield United travel to Oakwell to face Barnsley. Although the Blades have had the edge in this fixture in recent meetings, I will be backing Barnsley to take the three points at 13-10.

After an indifferent start to the season the Tykes have picked up 10 points in the last four games, keeping two clean sheets in the process. Derby fixtures can be decided by the smallest detail and the homes side's momentum should be enough.

Hull City need to be wary as they travel to Selhurst Park to play an improving Crystal Palace. The 13-10 about a home win is probably enough to have a bet; however, it is the even money available for over 2.5 goals that catches the eye.

Both sides have been involved in high scoring games lately and it would be no surprise to see another with three or more goals.

In League One, top-of-the-table Brighton travel to the Galpharm Stadium to take on fellow promotion rivals Huddersfield.

Brighton are certainly the form side, as their defeat to Hartlepool is the only loss in a run that stretches back to August. Huddersfield's recent success, however, has been built on a strong home record, and it would be hard to bet against the Terriers. Since that defeat to Hartlepool, Brighton have recorded two draws and another stalemate can be backed at 12-5.

A disappointing loss to Swindon halted a run of three straight wins for Sheffield Wednesday. However, they should be backed to beat Bristol Rovers this afternoon.

Rovers are winless in six games now, although they have recorded only two losses.

With teams around them facing tough opposition, Wednesday must see this as an opportunity to step up their push for promotion.

Rotherham United host Aldershot in League Two and the Millers should have enough to snatch the three points.

Aldershot like to keep it tight, so the odd goal could win it. Although he has not found the net in the last two league games, Adam Le Fondre is too good to be kept quiet for long and can be backed at 10-11 to get back in the goals.

Finally, Bradford City play Hereford, with both sides sat in the wrong half of the table.

Bradford have shown some signs of improvement recently and opponents Hereford have one of the worst defences in the division. Back Bradford to win at 4-5.

Burnley v Leeds United – Draw.

Barnsley to beat Sheffield United.

Crystal Palace v Hull City – Over 2.5 Goals

Huddersfield Town v Brighton – Draw.

Sheffield Wednesday to beat Bristol Rovers.

Rotherham v Aldershot – Adam Le Fondre to score for the Millers.

Bradford City to beat Hereford United.
