SkyBet: Somma could be in line to lead goals charge at Watford

Leeds United were outstanding as they earned their first Championship win of the season against Millwall and will be looking for more of the same as they visit unbeaten Watford today.

Simon Grayson's side created a hatful of chances and converted three of them, with Davide Somma enhancing his reputation with two goals after coming on as a substitute.

Somma scored again against Leicester in midweek and may be in line for a first league start at Vicarage Road.

Whichever line-up Grayson opts for, goals look on the agenda as Leeds have been far from watertight in defence.

Until they sort out that part of their game they will be difficult to support – for now, go for the 11-10 quote about three or more goals.

Sheffield United can claim their first win of the campaign when they face troubled Preston at Bramall Lane.

Darren Ferguson's side have taken just six points from their last 16 away league games and were thrashed 4-0 at Swansea on their last away day.

The Blades were edged out by Middlesbrough last weekend – this week it's Barnsley's turn to take on Gordon Strachan's costly outfit at Oakwell.

Boro were the pre-season favourites for this division, but three moribund displays have seen them gather only four points so far.

Maybe they will build a head of steam, but for the time being they are one to avoid.

Hull are finding life tough following their relegation and have gone three games without a win, including their Carling Cup exit at Brentford.

They have failed to score in their last two league games and have a tricky task at Doncaster today. Rovers have sufficient quality to occupy a mid-table place, but if they are to challenge for the play-offs they need to make the most of opportunities like this one, against a side which will be stronger once it has a more settled attacking line-up. Billy Sharp can inspire a home win here.

In League One, Sheffield Wednesday can win at Hartlepool.

The Owls have started well but they will be aware that rivals United were beaten 2-0 at Victoria Park in the Carling Cup. Hartlepool are also unbeaten in their first three league games, but this is comfortably their toughest fixture to date and Wednesday should edge it.

Charlton are among the front-runners once again and they visit a Huddersfield team who have endured a miserable week. Having led 2-0 at Peterborough, Town crashed to a 4-2 defeat before going down 5-1 at Everton in midweek. A goalless home draw with a weak Tranmere two weeks ago did not help their confidence and they may have to settle for another point from this one.

Rotherham's hopes of promotion from League Two rest on their ability to keep hold of striker Adam Le Fondre, who hit four in the 6-4 win over Cheltenham and who is certain to be the focus of attention in the last few days of the transfer window. With Le Fondre in form, the Millers should be backed to go to Hereford and win.
