THERE was plenty of action as ever throughout and around the White Rose this weekend, as Yorkshire's clubs strived for success.

Once again, we have a gallery of great pictures to share with you from the worlds of football, rugby union and ice hockey.

There was - as ever - plenty of action involving Yorkshire’s leading football clubs, with Jonathan Gawthorpe on hand to see Hull City thrash Charlton Athletic 6-0 at KC Stadium.

Simon Hulme and Steve Ellis were on hand at Hillsborough to see Sheffield Wednesday get the better of their Championship and White Rose rivals Leeds United, while Gary Longbottom was across the other side of the M1 to see Rotherham United suffer a 3-0 defeat at the hands of visitors QPR.

We also have some action from Sheffield United’s 2-1 win at Colchester.

In rugby union, Steve Riding turned out to see Yorkshire Carnegie get the better of Munster A in the British and Irish Cup.

And Dean Woolley was again present to watch Sheffield Steelers get the better of arch-rivals Nottingham Panthers in a nine-goal Elite League thriller.
