Champions Roundhegians had to rely on a last-minute try to claim a 31-26 win in their penultimate match at Northallerton.

Roundhegians trailed 13-3 at half-time and were being held to a 26-26 draw by Northallerton until full-back Ben Smith raced over.

Second-placed Old Rishworthians ran in seven tries on their way to a 47-13 home win over Baildon.

Flanker Gerard Rollings scored twice for Rishworthians, whose other tries were by flanker Jioti Bakoso as well as Jim Clarke, Nick Faulkner, Simon Edmundson amd Joe Billing.

Aaron Canning and Jamie Bloem shared the goal kicking.

After penalties in the first half by Alastair Beaumont and Mick Lister, Baildon pulled back their lone try from an interception by winger James O'Connell, with Beaumont adding the conversion.
