SHEFFIELD STEELERS threw away a three-goal lead to go down 5-4 against Belfast Giants.
The result saw Dave Matsos's side miss an opportunity to close the gap on fifth-placed Edinburgh Capitals, who remain four points ahead of Steelers with one game in hand.
