Team-mates given praise by Tendler

In-form forward Jereme Tendler has lauded his Hull Stingrays team-mates as the real reason behind his impressive start to his debut Elite League season.

The 27-year-old Canadian, signed by player-coach Sylvain Cloutier in the summer, is Hull's top points scorer by far, having posted 21 goals and 12 assists in 24 games to leave him joint-16th in the overall league scoring charts.

Tendler has played a big part in Stingrays' recent revival which followed a 12-0 defeat to Cardiff Devils, most notably grabbing a hat-trick in Saturday night's 7-2 success over Sheffield Steelers at Hull Arena, a tally which saw him crowned Elite League Player of the Week.

"You can't take all the credit," said Tendler. "It's a team game. The goalie has to make the save, the defence then makes the first pass and the forwards have to cycle the puck and create the opportunities. I have just been in the right place at the right time."

Stingrays' new club shop, located in the Princes Quay Shopping Centre, will be opening its doors for the first time on Saturday at 11am.

The shop will stock a variety of Stingrays merchandise including mugs, hats and key rings and shirts will also be available to order.
