Titans have signed scrum-half Luke Carter, 24, from National One side Rosslyn Park and Jack Hayes, 23, a centre from National Two South side Chinnor Rugby.

And their current captain Tom Holmes has also committed to the club for next season, along with fly-half Tom Barrett and flanker Willie Ryan.

Head coach Lee Blackett said: “Tom Holmes is a player that you never quite realise how much he does until you watch his individual clips. His work rate is phenomenal, he leads by example and we feel real lucky that he’s signed here another year.

“Jack is a powerful, strong guy who will gives us plenty of go-forward in midfield. We think he’s someone who has the potential to make a significant impact in the Championship.

“And Luke has a great attacking threat about his game with real x-factor, and we think he’ll be a leader for us on the field next season.”

Rotherham look to build on their win over Yorkshire Carnegie two weeks ago when they play Cornish Pirates at Mennaye Field in front of the live Sky Sports cameras tomorrow.

Joel Gill comes in at inside centre for the recalled Chris Harris in Blackett’s only change to the matchday 22.
