Tordoff back on top of the Touring Car standings

Leeds driver Sam Tordoff moved back to the top of the British Touring Car Championship standings with two podiums in the three races at Knockhill in Scotland.

Tordoff claimed fifth place in the first race of the day which was won by double champion Jason Plato in his 500th BTCC race.

Team JCT600 driver Tordoff then claimed two excellent second places behind Matt Neal and Mat Jackson in the final two races of the day to put himself nine points clear of nearest rival Neal in the Championship table heading into the next round at Rockingham.

Meanwhile, Morley’s Dan Cammish strengthened his chances of back to back titles in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB after a faultless weekend at Knockhill.

Cammish chalked up two pole positions, two fastest laps and two victories – bringing his 2016 tally up to nine – give him a 44 point lead going into the final four rounds.
