We need fans to get behind us says Foyle

YORK CITY: Manager Martin Foyle has issued a rallying call to the club's supporters ahead of tonight's game against Salisbury.

The Minstermen are fourth in the Blue Square Premier and chasing a return to the Football League but will drop out of the play-off zone when Chester City’s results are wiped from the record books. Chester have decided not to appeal against their removal from the competition which resulted from their dire financial position.

Foyle said: “It’s easy for the supporters to slaughter the players as they come off the pitch, but we don’t need that.”

Defenders David McGurk (knee) and Daniel Parslow (foot) are both expected to miss out and striker Richard Brodie (calf) is also doubtful.
