West Bromwich Albion v Barnsley: Securing safety is not enough for Robins

Championship: BARNSLEY manager Mark Robins wants his side to play the role of party-poopers tomorrow at The Hawthorns.

Hosts West Bromwich Albion are celebrating promotion just 12 months after being relegated from the Premier League.

But the Tykes, who are without a win in nine games, still need a victory to guarantee a better final position than last season's 20th in the table.

"We know that we will be going into a game played in a party atmosphere but we want the three points and we will be going there to try and take them," he said. "We know that we are capable of that but we also know that, if we get sucked into the party atmosphere, we could get a hiding."

Reflecting on the season, Robins said: "The first six and the last 10 games have been a complete washout. We have achieved safety with the games in between but that is not good enough."
