Womack races in to lift pressure

Sheffield, who play off against Darlington on Saturday in the hope of joining champions Malton and Norton in North One East next season, were under pressure in the closing stages before adding a fourth try to win 28-17 at Castleford.

Castleford were within a score of beating the league runners-up until Sheffield winger Alistair Womack raced over for his second try with three minutes remaining.

Heath have finished in third despite going down 27-15 in their final match at Dinnington.

Dinnington were 10-8 down at the interval but fought back with three second-half tries.

North Ribblesdale also ran in four tries as they moved up one position to sixth with a 28-12 home win over Ilkley.

Knottingley moved up three places to eighth, passing their rivals in the process, when they ran out 41-26 home winners over Bridlington.
