Nineteen teams contested the event, which saw many players struggle with the heat and humidity, and the tight, tree-lined course.

The four Harrogate B members played in the opening groups and, with three scores to count, posted a total of 306.

Maggie Gobbi, a late substitute, shot 99 and led the individual leader board for most of the day.

Pannal A came closest to denying Harrogate B, but finished six shots back on 312, followed by Masham A in third place, a further three shots adrift.

Lindsey Holt ultimately clinched the Individual Championship Trophy with a fine round of 96 and Gobbi had to be content with the prize for the best net round, 75.

Another member of the winning Harrogate team, Liz Haw, was runner-up in the gross section, and Sue Ibbotson finished second in the net event.

Oakdale A triumphed in the Net Team event, with Pannal A again finishing runners-up.
