The Leeds and District Rabbits' Golf Association event was sponsored by Tom Howard, a past member at Headingley, former president of the L&DRGA and a president of the Yorkshire Rabbits' Golf Association.

The pair got off to a flying start at the first hole with Bond following a good drive with a pitch shot that ran into the cup. A gross two gave them a net albatross one on the par-4 hole.
