A 10-2 deficit in the foursomes at Middlesbrough GC proved the difference in the first match played where the singles were shared 12-12.

Seaton Carew's Cameron Wallace and Hunley Hall duo Thomas Pegg and Dan Twiby were triumphant in both sessions for the hosts while Knaresborough's Nathan Seal and Otley's Will Bradley were the only winners for Harrogate in the foursomes.

Having lost 22-14, Harrogate moved into plus figures overall with a 23-13 win over Bradford at Romanby GC.

This time the foursomes session was shared and Harrogate won the match thanks to their 17-7 superiority in the singles.

First out for the home team in the foursomes at Romanby were Otley's Bradley and Daniel Clark Coates. They were all square with Ben Rhodes and Henry O’Garra playing the last where Clark Coates held his nerve to hole a 15ft par putt for a half.

Pannal's Oliver Abbott and Henry Mountford found themselves four down at one stage against Sam Reeve and Ryan Thornton.

But they battled back superbly and Abbott canned a 15ft birdie putt for a share of the honours.

Ilkley's Henry Croft and Edward Flather lost 2&1 to Louis Hoggart and Max Beresford, but Otley pair Gregor Myles and Sion Blears were too strong for Matt Morrison and

Jack Wright, winning 5&3.

Billy Swaine, from Pannal, and Otley's Alex Harm lost by one hole to Harry O’Callaghan and Will Manson while Harrogate's final pairing of Jack Ward and Angus Gray sparkled in an excellent 5&3 win over Cameron Warrington and Eddie Hodgson.

Myles, Ward, Blears and Gray all made it a maximum return for the day by winning their singles for Harrogate, the former 7&6 against Thornton and Blears by 6&5 over Manson.

Ward saw off Wright 3&2 and Gray won 5&3 against Hodgson.

Rhodes, O'Callaghan and Beresford won singles points for the visitors, who also got a half when Reeve held Mountford.
