In tricky conditions, Marsh won by two from four players on 69 – Ryan O’Neill (Penwortham), Ashley Mason (Glen Gorse), James Maw (Rockliffe Hall) and Ioan Jones (Abersoch).

It was the fifth event of the TP Tour, which moves on to Walton Heath next week.

Hosts England will face Denmark, Holland and India in this weekend’s inaugural GolfSixes at St Albans’ Centurion Club. The new format sees two-man teams representing 16 nations play in a six-hole match play format, with the top two from each of the four groups progressing to Sunday’s knock-out rounds.
