Twelve-handicapper Kevin Potter and Howard White, who plays off 13, aced the 17th and 14th holes respectively during the club championship weekend last month.

On Wednesday, Leeds Union player Andy Wiltshire (scratch) and eight-handicapper Ian Maclaren defied approximate odds of 1,300,000-1 when both holed in one on the 213-yard par-3 seventh hole, which is stroke index four.

The odds of a player scoring an ace on any hole are rated at almost 13,000-1.

Pontefract manager Malcolm Huddlestone said: "I did add to our website that perhaps the club should start its own lottery syndicate."
