Whiteoak was named as part of the England A squad in early December last year.

Along with Yorkshire team-mates Jamie Bower, the county champion from Meltham, and Lindrick's Jonathan Thomson he took part before Christmas in the first England training camp of the winter, at Quinta do Lago in Portugal. Bower and Thomson are members of England's main squad.

In addition to working on technique, activities for the players during the week-long camp included sessions on fitness, the short game, ball-flight control, game management and the mental side of the game.
