The season will see Yorkshire golfers looking to build on the success of recent years, which have included producing successive English men's amateur champions in Huddersfield GC's Nick Marsh and Lindrick GC's Joe Dean.

Only recently The Oaks' James Walker won the Selborne Salver while Yorkshire champion Jame Bower (Meltham GC) enjoyed a hugely successful six-week tour of South Africa, which produced two victories - in the Gauteng North Open and Southern Cape Open - that helped hoist him into the world's top 50 amateurs.
