CROSLAND Heath's 4-4 draw at West Bradford was not enough to deny Woodsome Hall the Section A title in the Lawrence Batley Seniors League.

Woodsome claimed the crown in some style with a 7-1 home victory over Marsden.

Halifax claimed third and Marsden edged fourth by beating Bradford Moor on the away points rule.

In Section B, an exciting finish to the season saw Crow Nest Park clinch their first semi-final with a 6-2 home victory over Hebden Bridge that gave them the title.

Either Branshaw or Sikstone could have stolen the crown with an 8-0 win, but their draw left Branshaw second and Silkstone third, separated only on the away points rule.

Elland had to settle for fourth place, having been held at home by Todmorden.

In Section C, Saddleworth came up agonisingly short despite their 6-2 home win over Hanging Heaton, which was insufficient to prevent the latter from securing the section title.

By way of consolation, Saddleworth took second place, but again it required the away points rule to give them the edge.

Ryburn, 7-1 victors over Bradley Park, placed third and Meltham fourth place.

In Section D, Blackley were able to hang on to second spot behind champions Huddersfield despite a 6-2 defeat at Queensbury.

Lightcliffe also lost, 6-2 at Bradley Hall, but finished third with South Leeds one place lower after a good run of home wins at the end of the season.

The semi-finals will take place this Friday, August 12.
