Yorkshire's Tuffey suffers broken hand

DARYL TUFFEY is a major doubt for the start of Yorkshire's season after breaking his left hand playing for New Zealand against Australia in Wellington.

The pace bowler was struck by a rising ball from Mitchell Johnson en route to an unbeaten 47 as the Kiwis lost the opening Test by 10 wickets.

Tuffey will undergo surgery on Thursday to repair a broken metacarpal bone and could be out for several weeks.
