Sutton gave the visitors the lead two minutes before half time when he smashed the ball in off the underside of the crossbar.

Cook doubled the lead 20 minutes into the second half when he converted from Sutton's cross for his third goal in as many games.

There was no room for respite in the final stages of the contest as Walsall pulled a goal back through Dan Scarr on 77 minutes.

The hosts had penalty appeals waved away moments later as the Bantams managed the game out to rack up their 12th league win of the season.
