Electronic artist Bambooman rounds off a residency at Leeds Industrial Museum with a special set based on field recordings he’s made using the museum’s machinery and steam engines.
Also performing at the gig, part of the museum’s Beat Back project to bring the noise, music and movement back to what was once the largest woollen mill in the world, are Pye Corner Audio and Object Blue, with additional DJ sets by Boe&LX and Nik Nak.
Bambooman, who is originally from Leeds, recently received acclaim for Whispers, an album of experimental music released on Matthew Herbert’s label Accidental Recordings.
Beat Back takes place at Leeds Industrial Museum, Armley Mills on April 21. Doors 7pm, tickets from Jumbo Records.www.beatback.co.uk
