Billy Bibby, the former lead guitarist with Catfish and The Bottlemen, is to play a free gig in Leeds this weekend.
The 25-year-old, who played on the band’s top 10 album The Balcony, left the Llandudno-based indie rock group last year and has since assembled a four-piece of his own.
His new material is described as being in “same grass roots, DIY style that has served him so well in the past”.
Bibby says: “We’ve only been rehearsing a few weeks and we are almost ready to gig a nice 45-minute set. These lads I’ve taken on board are the real deal with exciting futures ahead of them. I’m really looking forward to going on tour with this great bunch of guys. I’m sure we’ll turn a few heads with our live performances once we all get into our stride.”
Billy Bibby and his band play at Milo, on Call Lane, Leeds, on Sunday December 13. Doors 7pm, admission free.
