Louisa Johnson is preparing for a performance in Yorkshire after becoming the youngest winner of the X Factor. She earned the glory of becoming 2015 champion on December 13, at the age of 17, and is heading to the Sheffield Arena on March 11.
Johnson’s appearance will be part of the X Factor 2016 Live Tour. Contestants will be performing classic songs and viewers’ favourites from the TV series.
The Essex singer, who was mentored by Rita Ora, triumphed in the finale of the 11th series of X Factor by seeing off the challenge from Reggie ’N’ Bollie at Wembley Arena. During the final, she impressively sang James Brown’s It’s a Man’s Man’s Man’s World.
After winning Johnson had said: “I’ve imagined this day for so many years and you have no idea how much this means to me.”
Ora said: “There is a reason this show is so good - look at what it can create.”
One of the show’s judges Simon Cowell described her talent as superhuman. The teenager remained a red-hot favourite to win in the build-up to the final despite the reported fears over her voice.
The X Factor Live Tour begins on February 12 at Aberdeen. It will also be stopping at Belfast, Dublin, Glasgow, Brighton, Bournemouth, Leeds, Birmingham, Cardiff, London, Nottingham, Liverpool, Newcastle and Manchester.
