YORKSHIRE actress Sheridan Smith was sporting a different look as she filmed a new TV drama in Leeds today.
The actress, fresh from her small screen success as singer Cilla Black, was seen in the Trinity Leeds mall with close cropped hair and a plain blue blouse.
Miss Smith is playing widow Jo Gillespie, grieving at the death of her undercover police officer husband and vowing to discover who murdered him.
The drama, Black Work, is being filmed at locations across the city.
A spokesman for the production said: “Black Work is a compelling three-part story which sees police officer Jo confront difficult truths about her family life and her marriage to Ryan.”
The drama was written by Matt Charman and is being produced by Mammoth Screen.
