The thousands of visitors who have been delighted by the display of daffodils on the rampart of the city wall facing York Railway Station will interested to learn that the Parks Committee of the Corporation have decided to plant the other ramparts with daffodils, so that at the appropriate season next year the intra-mural part of the city will enriched by a belt of golden bloom.

The Committee are also considering a suggestion that one of the moats — preferably that of tho Lord Mayor’s walk — shall be excavated and filled with water, and so furnish citizens and visitors alike with an idea of this aspect of a walled city in mediaeval days.
