It’s not the first time ‘The Godfather of British Pop Art’ and this small but cool gallery have worked together.

Sir Peter Blake visited RedHouse in person in 2011 (pictured above) to launch a previous exhibition - Twenty Years of Printmaking 1991 - 2011 - where he was surrounded by fans hoping to get him to sign their rare prints and copies of The Beatles’ Sgt Peppers album, the sleeve of which he co-designed at the height of the ‘Summer of Love’ in 1967.

Blake made his first impact on the art world in the 1950s and was elected a member of the Royal Academy in 1981.

The artist was knighted in 2002.

The new exhibition, Peter Blake: Printmaker will run at RedHouse Originals Gallery at 15 Cheltenham Mount, in Harrogate from Saturday, March 5 to April 2.
