WATCH: Duchess of Cornwall marks centenary of 100 Squadron at RAF Leeming
During her visit the Duchess met veterans, servicemen and their families and watched a flypast by Hawk T1A jets.
The Queens Colour squadron formed a 100 shape in the Parade Square to mark the centenary of the Squadron which was formed specifically for night-bombing during the First World War.

Hide AdNo 100 moved to France from its base at Hingham, in Norfolk, in March 1917 and was used to bomb Germany.
After the War it transferred to Baldonnel in Ireland, where it re-equipped with Bristol Fighters.
In 1931 it gained Vildebeest biplane torpedo bombers, moving to Singapore two years later where its ancient aircraft stood little chance of stopping the Japanese advance.
During the Second World War it reformed at Waltham taking part in operations over Germany.
Various closures - of RAF Wyton in Cambridgeshire and then RAF Finningley, it relocated to RAF Leeming in 1995
