Watch: Young Adele fan from York on stage with her hero at Manchester Arena

Kate Judson, 11, got tickets to her first ever concert, to see multi-award winning Adele, for Christmas.

The star noticed her dancing in the aisles at Manchester Arena and invited her on stage for a photo and a chat.

The down-to-earth star, famous for hits Hello, Someone Like You, and Oscar-winning Skyfall, asked Kate questions about her favourite bands while sipping from a mug during a break between songs.

Kate’s mother Sue Judson, of Rawcliffe, York, said: “Kate is such a big Adele fan, she was so excited about going. The tickets were near the front of the stage and Adele spotted her dancing.

“She said ‘do you want to get up on the stage’, and off her trotted.

“When she got down she was shell-shocked.”

A video posted online captured the moment Adele spotted Kate.

She said: “How are you my little darling? Come here, come up.”

The audience can be heard whooping and cheering as Kate made her way over the barriers.

After posing for a photo, the singer asked Kate about her favourite bands, and she told her she had tickets to see the band Coldplay in July.

Adele then said: “The best thing I ever saw was them in London - you’ll lovee it.

“It was really nice to meet you. I saw you straight away when I come on the main stage.”

Music lover Kate is a big fan of the singer, and can play her hit Rolling In The Deep on piano.

Since beginning her 25 tour, Adele has become known for inviting fans on stage, even inviting two young singers to perform in Dublin. Last month, the star took home four Brit awards.

Mrs Judson added: “It was Kate’s first concert so it meant the world to her. I had to tell you that you don’t always get invited on stage!

“The atmosphere at the concert was bizarre. Considering we were in a room with 15,000 people, it felt like we were in her front room.”
