And to mark the venue’s tenth birthday, there’s a fantastic chance for Gazette readers to grab 15% off tickets for a brilliant Viva experience.
Located right in the heart of town, Viva has become Blackpool’s leading venue for dinner-show entertainment and hospitality since its launch in 2012, with 150,000 visitors every year enjoying big name personalities, comedy, music, song and dance.
This summer brings one of its most diverse and exciting seasons yet, with a fresh line-up of shows produced in its unique cabaret-style theatre, and different attractions nightly from June to November.
The big birthday celebrations include a glittering 10th Anniversary Command Performance on August 12, when a star-studded line-up will gather.
There’s lot of family fun too, including the exciting new ‘Crazy Comedy Company’. A hit at Butlins and the Edinburgh Fringe, its zany mix of cirque skills and family comedy set to keep everyone entertained during school holidays.
Viva is also breaking new ground when it stages a full West End production: ‘Boogie Nights The 70’s Musical’, starring Shane Nolan and with a soundtrack of familiar songs.
Other shows to look out for include ‘Viva The Show’, headlined by resident host Leye D Johns and featuring a glamorous cast of singers and dancers.
For country lovers, new for 2022 is ‘Viva Country Legends’ starring Danni Graham as the legendary Dolly Parton, a foot stomping live band and tributes to country icons including Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks and Glen Campbell.
Much-loved Viva favourites are back, including hit shows ‘Oh What A Night’ starring The Jersey Beats, celebrating the hits of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons and ‘Voulez-Vous’, a celebration of Europe’s original pop four-piece Abba.
There are also plenty of laughs in store from big name comics Joe Pasquale and Billy Pearce, and for those who like their comedy a little more adult, the legendary Joey Blower every weekend lunchtime from April until October.
There’s also a long list of new shows and events, including Bingo Loco, the ultimate party night, and tributes to artists such as Amy Winehouse and George Michael.
Viva Showroom is also set to invest more than £250,000 with the support of the Arts Council, to ensure it continues to grow and bring the best in live entertainment to the heart of Blackpool.
