Europa Road Wakefield branch celebrates 10 years in business as customer base jumps 20 per cent

Logistics operator Europa Road is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its Wakefield branch opening, as the branch announces an increased customer base of 20 per cent in the year.

The branch, which originally opened with a team of six people in 2013, has now doubled in size. It also recorded its highest-ever profit for one month last year.

Branch manager Sam Hogg said: “We’ve had a fantastic decade in business.

“The Wakefield team are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to providing the right service for our customers, and we’re pleased to be assisting businesses in West Yorkshire to help them grow their EU customer base.

Mr Hogg started working for Europa Road three years ago, and was promoted to manager at the Calder Park-based branch in September 2021.

Adrian Redmile, sales and branch network director at Europa, said the Wakefield branch had “ambitious” plans for growth in the future, including further recruitment and internal promotions.

Europa Worldwide Group is an independent logistics operator with three divisions, Europa Road, Europa Air & Sea, and Europa Warehouse.

The group recently reported a record turnover of £316m for the last 12 months, as of August 2022.
